कंपाइलर  (Compiler) और इंटरप्रेटर (Interpreter) के बीच अंतर :



कंपाइलर

1) कंपाइलर पूरे प्रोग्राम को एक साथ कंपाइल करता है।
2) सभी त्रुटियां एक साथ प्रदर्शित होती हैं।
3) डिबगिंग और परीक्षण के लिए धीमी गति है।
4) एक बार कंपाइल हो जाने के बाद दोबारा कंपाइल करने की जरूरत नहीं है।
5) कंपाइलर द्वारा परिवर्तित प्रोग्राम को एक पूर्ण यांत्रिक प्रोग्राम में परिवर्तित किया जाता है। इस प्रोग्राम को ऑब्जेक्ट प्रोग्राम कहा जाता है।
6) कंपाइलर का उपयोग अक्सर बड़े कंप्यूटरों पर किया जाता है।



इंटरप्रेटर

1) इंटरप्रेटर हर एक लाइन पढ़ता और अनुवाद करता है।
2) प्रत्येक पंक्ति में त्रुटियां प्रदर्शित करके अनुवाद प्रक्रिया को रोकता है।
3) डिबगिंग और परीक्षण के लिए तेज़ है।
4) इंटरप्रेटर में परिवर्तित कार्यक्रमों को पुनर्संकलन की आवश्यकता होती है।
5) एक इंटरप्रेटर के माध्यम से परिवर्तित एक कार्यक्रम एक पूर्ण यांत्रिक कार्यक्रम में परिवर्तित नहीं होता है।
6) इसका उपयोग ज्यादातर माइक्रो कंप्यूटर और पॉकेट कंप्यूटर में किया जाता है।
